The United States District Court for the Central District of California announces the appointment of Brian D. Karth as District Court Executive and Clerk of Court. Mr. Karth succeeds retired District Court Executive and Clerk of Court Kiry K. Gray.

Northern District
2024 Ninth Circuit Civics Contest
High school students are invited to enter the 2024 Northern District of California Civics Contest. This local contest is the first stage of the 2024 Ninth Circuit Civics Contest. The theme of this year’s essay and video contest is “70 Years Later—The Legacy of Brown v. Board of Education.” In addressing the theme, students are asked to “discuss what impact they think Brown has had and why”, by writing an essay and/or creating a video presentation on this topic.
