A Crash Course In Titling Assets To A Trust

In the world of estate planning, it can often be a bit confusing when working on a trust estate plan or even a trust administration – what assets should be funded to a trust? What assets should be left out? If the asset should be funded, how does one go about that? Does your office handle client transfers? Or do you leave it all up to the client?

Join us for a discussion on best practices for trust funding, both pre- and post-death, with a sampling of transfer forms provided to attendees. Some knowledge of estate planning is helpful, but not necessary to participate.

After 13 years of assisting clients as a legal secretary, Lori decided to be a lawyer. She knew that taking this step would improve her capabilities and allow her to help more people. She earned her law degrees after attending night classes, all while working full-time as a secretary.

Hobbies

Lori and her husband, Dean Bledsoe (owner of Pintail Roofing) spend most of their “free” time in activities involving their son, Hunter. Whether its attending basketball games in the Winter, watching and volunteering at track meets in the Spring, or participating in activities and campouts with Boy Scout Troop 83 throughout the year, they do things as a family. In her down time, Lori enjoys baking, cooking, playing bunko, and volunteering at church and her son’s school. In the Spring and Summer months, Lori spends most of her Saturdays at the St. John’s Lutheran Mission Farm, helping harvest fruits and veggies for the local food bank.
