Debby Rosenthal Debrah "Debbye" Rosenthal first discovered her passion for the field of third party reproductive law while attending the University of California, San Diego. An honors graduate, Debbye received her bachelor’s degree in sociology, with a minor in law and society. Debbye then obtained her law degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Debbye honed her legal knowledge of this emerging field as a teaching assistant for a Reproductive Justice class and serving as an executive board member of Law Students for Reproductive Justice. Shortly after passing the California Bar Exam, Debbye began working for a small Assisted Reproductive Technology law office in Los Angeles. After a few years with the Los Angeles office, Debbye made the decision to open her own firm in Orange County. Since that time she's been living in Orange County, where she enjoys spending time with friends and family at the beach, rigorous workouts at the local gym, walks with the office dog, Benny, at Balboa Island, and trips to Disneyland. Debbye is an active member of the Academy of California Adoption-ART Lawyers, the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy, and ABA ART division. Nikki Wehmeir Nikki Wehmeir has worked in the infertility world since 2009! She started in this industry on the agency side working primarily with egg donation and have continued that career path. She is well educated in surrogacy too but has a soft spot for making sure Intended Parents and Egg Donors are taken care of from start to finish and feel supported during such a unique experience. She is also a huge supporter of open/semi-open donation agreements and lends her voice to the importance of that any chance she gets. In her years of helping others become parents, she has had the honor of being a small but integral role in thousands of journeys and looks forward to the excitement and hope of family building each day. Nikki is a founding member of SEEDS (Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy) and currently holds the position of Chair of the Newsletter Committee. She is also a proud member of the Donor Conceived Community’s Professionals Group. Outside of the heart and soul that she pours into her career, Nikki also has two children of her own, two nephews born through IVF, more friends/acquaintances than she can count that she has helped navigate their own infertility journeys, and she donated her uterus in a transplant trial to a woman who was born without one so she could have a baby. Nikki believes it takes a village to raise a child and sometimes it also takes a village to have one. She looks forward to bringing her compassion, guidance, and expertise along for your journey!
