Effective January 3, 2023, the Superior Court of Placer County will expand its Court Clerk’s Office hours at all locations and significantly reduce remote appearance fees. Clerk’s offices and telephone lines will now be open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each court day at all court locations. This represents an expansion of one hour per court day at the Gibson Courthouse in Roseville, Tahoe City Courthouse, and Juvenile Courthouse, and four hours per court day at the Auburn Historic Courthouse. The court’s remote appearance fees, as required by Government Code Section 70630 and California Rules of Court, rule 3.672, will be reduced from $71 to $25 (plus credit card transaction fees). There are no remote appearance fees for criminal, traffic, juvenile, restraining orders, any party with a fee waiver, or in any case where filing fees are not required.
