A recent software update by the Monterey Superior Court’s eFiling software provider has resulted in an anomaly that affects the case data transmitted from the filer to the court. In a small percentage of filings that require court fees, the “responsible party” information is not populating correctly on the court’s side.
This anomaly affects all courts utilizing the Odyssey case management system. The other affected courts have implemented a work-around solution but the Monterey Court’s policy does not allow them to implement a similar policy for their cases.
First Legal’s concierge eFiling department does have an alternate means to submit filings to the Monterey court that avoids this anomaly entirely. Until the anomaly is isolated, or the Monterey court changes their policy on editing submitted case data, you may send your “fees due” filings for Monterey County to our concierge department for processing at the normal, direct eFiling rate.
