Starting Monday, October 16, the Mono County Superior Court (Court) will return its Court customer counter to normal hours of service to the public at the Mammoth Lakes Courthouse. The Mammoth Lakes Courthouse customer counter will be open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the customer counter will be open from 8:30 AM to 12 noon. Since 2015, due to severe budget reductions the Court was forced to reduce the hours the Court customer counter was open to half days. Recently, the Court has received additional funding which has allowed for the Court to start to return to normal levels of services, returning our customer counter to normal hours is just the first step. Sometime in late November or early December, the Court will begin to answer public phone calls and be able to assist the public by phone. Currently, the Court is only able to assist the public by email or at the customer counter. In addition, the Court is working on a complete redesign of our Court website in order to improve customer service to the public. The Court’s plan is to have the website redesign done at the same time we began to provide assistance by phone to the public, sometime by late November or early December.
