Effective Feb. 4, 2019, small claims cases will no longer be filed at the Downey Courthouse. All small claims filings, hearings and related court services will be handled at the Bellflower Courthouse.
Effective Feb. 4, 2019, all traffic matters, including hearings and related court services, will no longer be handled at the Bellflower Courthouse. All traffic matters will be handled at the Downey Courthouse.
The Bellflower Courthouse is located at 10025 East Flower Street, Bellflower 90706.
The Downey Courthouse is located at 7500 East Imperial Highway, Downey 90242.
These changes will allow for a more efficient use of court resources.
Small claims cases can be filed electronically and many traffic matters can be resolved by utilizing the online services available on the Court’s website at LACourt.org.
