Effective as of the dates indicated below, the Los Angeles Superior Court, Northwest District, announces changes to judicial assignments in both the Van Nuys West and Van Nuys East courthouses. The Van Nuys West Courthouse is located at 14400 Irwin Street Mall, Van Nuys, 91401. The Van Nuys East Courthouse is located at 6230 Sylmar Avenue, Van Nuys, 91401.
Effective Sept. 14, 2015:
Judge Paul Bacigalupo is reassigned from Dept. 113 in Van Nuys West to Dept. O, a civil trial court in Van Nuys East.
Judge Lawrence Riff is assigned to Dept. 113, a misdemeanor trial court in Van Nuys West.
Effective Sept. 21, 2015:
Commissioner Alicia Y. Blanco is assigned to Dept. L, a domestic violence/civil harassment court in Van Nuys East.
Judge Shirley K. Watkins is assigned to Dept. K, a family law court, replacing Judge Reva G. Goetz. Judge Reva G. Goetz retired on September 21, 2015.
Effective Sept. 28, 2015:
Judge Michael J. Convey is assigned to a newly created family law long cause/settlement court in Van Nuys East.
Judge Andrea Thompson will be reassigned from Dept. L in Van Nuys East to Dept. 100, a limited felony/drug court in Van Nuys West.
Commissioner Marilyn M. Mordetzky is re-assigned from McCourtney Juvenile Justice Center to Dept. H, an unlawful detainer hub court in Van Nuys East.
All matters currently calendared in these departments shall remain scheduled on the dates and times set unless otherwise notified.
