Effective August 6, 2018, the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Court Reporter Availability policy is modified for civil litigation as follows:
• All limited civil proceedings will be electronically recorded by the Court to make the official verbatim record of proceedings as provided in Government Code section 69957, and California Rules of Court rule 2.952 and 2.956 (c).
For a listing of the courtrooms that hear limited civil proceedings, please visit the Los Angeles Superior Court’s website at www.lacourt.org.
• In unlimited civil proceedings, parties who have received a fee waiver pursuant to California Rules of Court rule 3.55(7) may timely request an official court reporter pursuant to California Rules of Court rule 2.956(b)(3) at least 10 calendar days prior to the hearing or trial on court form LACIV269.
