Unless specifically authorized by a judge, there shall be no photography, recordings, or broadcasting from any place within this courthouse. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to photographs and video or audio recordings taken with cameras, cell phones, and tablets. All cell phones must be turned off in the courtrooms, unless specifically permitted by the judge in that courtroom. Notwithstanding this rule, photographs and video recordings may be taken during adoption proceedings and mock trial competitions. California Rules of Court, Rule 1.150.
