Do you ever wonder what a U.S. President may have done before he became President of the United States? Many of us remember that Ronald Reagan was an actor before entering into politics and becoming President. Abraham Lincoln was a licensed bartender before he became President. Past Presidents have often had a close relationship with liquor. George Washington established the largest whiskey distillery and Thomas Jefferson brewed his own beer. But Abraham Lincoln was the only licensed bartender. Lincoln’s liquor license was later discovered in 1930 and displayed in a Springfield liquor store.
