Two New Justices Appointed to the Fifth District Court of Appeal:
The Court is pleased to announce the confirmation of the appointments of Honorable Thomas DeSantos (formerly a Kings County Superior Court Judge) and Honorable Mark W. Snauffer (formerly a Fresno County Superior Court Judge) as justices of the Court of Appeal. The nominations by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. were confirmed July 26, 2018, during a hearing at the Supreme Court in San Francisco. Justice DeSantos fills the vacancy created by the death of Justice Gene M. Gomes. Justice Snauffer fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Justice Stephen J. Kane
